My passion for Scent Detection started over 6 years ago when i quickly realised the positive benifits Scentwork had on our dogs.
Scent work provides mental stimulation and enrichment, satisfying dogs natural curiosity and instincts. Engaging in scent detection activate's a stronger bond between dogs and their owners or trainers. As our dogs successfully identify scents, their confidence grows, leading to better overall behavior. The focused attention required during scent work can have a calming effect on anxious or hyperactive dogs. Scent detection encourages dogs to use their brains, enhancing problem-solving skills. Dogs learn to trust their noses and the guidance of their handlers during scent work. Scent work can address behavioral issues by redirecting energy and providing a positive outlet.
As a UK Sniffer Dog's Bronze & Silver Instructor, my multifaceted approach and diverse training experiences with experts like Conservation K9 Consultancy, UK-K9, Cameron Ford, Natalie Morris, Endeavour Canine, Mark Doggett, Wesley Visscher, K9 behaviour Consultancy, On Target K9 and Frank Homes of Kyrus Canine undoubtedly contribute to my experties. My dedication to continuous learning with industry leaders truly sets me apart in the field of scent detection. My aim is that my passion for improving dogs’ lives through nosework continue's to flourish.
