Dog Tracking/Trailing in Tamworth
What Is Track2Trail - (Dog Tracking/Trailing)?
Track2Trail teaches your dog to follow a specific human scent trail — using their nose to locate the person or item at the end. It’s mentally stimulating, confidence-building and brilliant for dogs who love to sniff and problem-solve. Its the perfect blend of Tracking and Mantrailing.
We train in real outdoor environments across Tamworth and the wider Midlands, using scent theory, search patterns and reward-based motivation.
Why Try Tracking & Trailing?
• Builds confidence in nervous or reactive dogs
• Provides deep mental stimulation and calm tiredness afterwards
• Strengthens your bond through genuine teamwork
• Gives handlers practical scentwork and line-handling skills
• Offers a stepping stone into mantrailing or operational-style tracking if you catch the bug (and most people do!)

About Your Trainer
I found tracking around 10 years ago thanks to a dog called Nero, who didn’t fit the usual mould. He was clever, quirky and needed a job that made sense to him. When I stopped trying to control him and started letting him lead, everything changed.
Eveery experience from then on has shaped my approach: honest, no-fuss and ego-free. I believe dogs have more to teach us than we have to teach them — and I love helping people see what their dogs are capable of when we learn to listen.
I’m not the flashiest trainer on social media, but I walk the walk. My goal is for you to leave every session feeling confident, inspired and proud of your dog.

I am pleased to highly recommend Joleen Carter as one of the highest-level SIFD Method instructors in England.
Joleen is an outstanding instructor with an exceptional ability to read and understand canine behaviour. She has mastered the core principles of learning theory and the SIFD training methodology to an exceptionally high standard. This expertise has been developed not only through her formal education within our program but also through the many international seminars and instructor courses we have delivered together over the years.
What truly sets Joleen apart is that she does not simply teach the methodology—she demonstrates it. She has successfully developed and trained her own dogs to a high operational standard, allowing her to teach from genuine hands-on experience rather than theory alone. She leads by example, proving that she can both explain the principles and apply them successfully in practice.
In addition to her technical expertise with dogs, Joleen is an outstanding coach and mentor for people. She communicates clearly, provides constructive feedback, and has an excellent ability to identify learning points that help handlers progress. She creates a positive learning environment while maintaining high standards, ensuring that both dogs and handlers develop together.
Having extensive knowledge of dogs is important, but the ability to transfer that knowledge to people is what defines a truly exceptional instructor. Joleen possesses both qualities at the highest level, making her one of the strongest SIFD Tracking & Trailing Method instructors in England and someone I can recommend without hesitation.
